New Job New City

So last Monday I started work at Joy in Sheffield. Having never been to Sheffield before I had to quickly move into a friend's spare room and pretty much start straight away.
I've not really had time to actually go into the centre and shop as on my only days off there has been HUMUNGOUS amounts of snow.
The only place which i have been is Ecclesall road. For those familiar with Sheffield, this is the road in which Hallam uni is on and so it is FULL of studenty types. It also, to my delight full of lovely charity shops. And my new favourite shop in the world. KUJI.
Kuji is an independent run boutique full of quirky handmade and remade vintage and art inspired clothes. They also sell AMAZING necklaces and also many many many fish eye cameras.
Pay day today meant i bought a lovely denim playsuit which I had saved last week and i know for a fact I am going to be wearing this everyday for a while.

To find out more about Kuji go to www.kujishop.co.uk

Did I mention they were playing the Yeasayer album?

Good good shop.

I don't care whether it's real or not..

Somebody either
a) spent a lot of time creating this digitally,
or b) went to the beach and decided to try making awe-inspiring sized bubbles

Who cares which of these is correct? The end result is a joy to watch.

Nick Cave (NO, not that one)

Just seen this on Fashion Indie.com, missed it but oh well:

"Fashion Design Department Chair Nick Cave's world-famous Soundsuits are featured in an eight-page spread in the September issue of Vogue. Shot by fashion photographer Raymond Meier, the photos feature Cave wearing the Soundsuits while highlighting bags and footwear from designers such as Yves Saint Laurent and Dior.
Also there is an exclusive video art installation of Cave's Soundsuits entitled "Drive-by," that will light up the corner of East 23rd Street and South Michigan Avenue each evening beginning at 8 p.m. (dusk). The Soundsuit stores are a collaboration between Cave and Bob Faust, creative director of Faust Design. The virtual and pop-up stores will offer for sale everything from limited edition prints of Nick Cave Soundsuits to books, 3D cards, gift wrap, ironed-to-order T-shirts, magnets, and viewfinders."
